Rough2000,
I put the Carrier LP on myself. very simple installation. Hardest part was getting it up to the roof !!
Bought mine from Family RV Repair in Florida for a pretty good price.(on ebay LINK). They were very helpful with questions, and even returned my call on EASTER SUNDAY !! Also got the heat strip for it.
The 13.5 is great for the front end of the 5'er. Keeps it nice and cold. (Wish I could say the same for the 15K in the back of the trailer.) It is a little on the noisy side, but that could be because of the small area it's in. Doesn't keep us awake though !!
We live on a little dirt road in the mountains, and most of the wires are 13' ... if that! The brochure states the height of our 5th wheel at 157" with the optional factory installed 2nd A/C unit. I ended up having to raise the 5'r about 2", which would have put me at 159" ... ouch!! Which is why I went Low profile!
With the Low Profile Carrier, I'm just over 152" ... and there's STILL one cable wire that brushes against it !!
Hope that helps ...
