Atwood furance FYI; I have 8900 series model 2540 2 stage 40,000BTU W/ the motor relay intergrated into the circuit board(yellow/red wires). it recently stop working; now i know how to work a voltmeter, but carpenter by trade. Normally you jump the wires at the thermo to start furnace to rule out the thermo. well it did not work which started me on trouble shooting motor and board. this animal does not trouble shoot like any other, a black and red wire from motor are both hot(low/high fan)the ground(neutral) is feed from the board.
just before i started to order parts, i called O.E. RV's(repair) in Fallen Waters, WV. My current location; they repeated what i did for 4hrs. finially took a thermo from a new Lance on their lot and it worked. it is the digital heat/cool thermo from Atwood( thing has 1000 diodes and lists for $211). Point is this system is great but difficult to trouble shoot, the AC can be jump started but the furnace is a different animal all together. Kudos to O.E. RV they only charged me $110 for the thermo and because it was a learning experience for their(2 guys) techs they only charged me $167 in labor.
ahhhh... life is an adventure, so enjoy.
