- eaherrmannExplorerHopefully the pics are self explanatory. This is the 10cf fridge.

These work great, bay area nice and cool. No interior heat build up at all. Do not aim fan at the LP area on the right, don't want to blow out the flame. The way I have it setup does not interfere with the LP mode.
Hope this helps :) - CHV_FRKExplorerHow's this?
What is it really? I thought they did that test on all of ours. :) - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerYeah the gas can for the genny is a pain as I can't either get all the gas from the can into the tank...
- loydtExplorerI read about the "Polar Barrier" options they were testing. I guess it is an added option on the '09 models? As far as the a/c fan goes, I changed out my thermostats and just wired the fan to run on high speed only.
Bummer for me if this new one does not already have the fridge fans built in like my '05 Designer did. Only difference in the firdge is this one is a 10 cu/ft where the other was an 8.
Also, on the genny tank, it tanks a funky gas can to fill it up. I tried the one I use for the lawn mower and it hits the top of the baggage door and you can't fill it. Anybody found one that works? Maybe a long funnel? - CHV_FRKExplorereaherrmann I would like to see a couple pics.
- eaherrmannExplorerOur A/C also has obvious difference between hi and lo settings, especially noticeable in the "quick cool" mode.
As far as the Fridge fans, the lower fan faces in to draw cool air in, the upper fan faces out to push warm air out. I used 2 12vdc fans, 2' of dual conductor wire, a few zip ties to secure fans and most importantly, double sided foam tape to attenuate any vibration noises. When the trailer is dead silent you can barely hear the fans. Anyone need pics?
Hey Doug, Do you get a "seatbelt" light and the oh so enjoyable bong when your passenger isn't wearing a seatbelt?
Thnx,
Ed - cruzExplorerA/C fan control ... has obvious difference in fan speed between Hi and Lo.
RE: Fridge ... I've got two DC Fans ... did you mount one in the upper outside vent and one in the lower outside vent ??
THX
Cruz - sanderson_66ExplorerWell eaherrmann...as much as I would like to be "da man"...I'm not! We just use it for washing. So what is your AC fan speed situation? Easy with the mods...the wife may check in here!!
- eaherrmannExplorerStream water?? you da man. Water up north must be ALOT better than what we have done under. Then again, camping world does sell a 45 gal collapsable water bladder that you could toss in the back of the pickup and go "hunting" for fresh water. Been to Mexico, only drank safe mixed drinks BUT the ice cubes are made from the local water :(
- eaherrmannExplorerSo many questions/ideas/comments....where to start
OK..our "mods"
--Installed RV shower head from CW, multi spray selections, no leaks, on/off button. Also changed the holder to provide better angle.
--Installed heater vent diffusers
--Installed 2 12vdc fans in the outside fridge access panels. There was no fan in there to begin with. I just tapped into the 12v lines. They're on 24x7 but at .75amps it's OK.
--Installed MaxiAir covers over all ceiling vents
--Installed bug screens on access panels
--Applied expanding foam around all openings in belly cover, especially around the Mor-Ryde mounts.
--Going to drill out rivets on stove cover so it can be removed, it just takes up too much space when opened.
--Still investigating pantry options, to build or to buy??
Observations, those who did get the thermal windows and generators, the best configuration we've ever owned :)
Does anyone else's have a decal by the door the says "Polar Barrier"?
Question for our Dodge Ram 3500 owners, do you get a seatbelt alarm when your passenger is not wearing a seatbelt? We were told that it is not installed in "work" trucks and the manual agrees?!?!
L&M, bummer on your window, hope it works out for you, hopefully you can get help from Jayco. Let us know how it works out.
