- Come-N-GoExplorerWe just picked it up today, even with the stock pin box, this thing pulls great!
- whporwilExplorerI pull our 35 RLSA with a 08 F350 4x4 srw and have the 3.73 rear end. I have no problems. Make sure you know what the GVWR is because they come different ways. I think 11,400lbs is as much as you can get in a srw 4x4 truck.
- 3wheelinExplorerGreat site! Weight question for you guys. I need a different truck. I have an F250 now. Going to buy a new Designer 35RLTS in the next few days/weeks. Would a single rear wheel 1 ton with 3.73 gears 4x4 work? it is good for pulling a 15200# trailer (the 35RLTS says it weighs 15800# max capacity--11400# dry)Pin weight should be ok (figuring truck will weigh approx. 8000#),and truck GVW is 11400#... that would leave 3400# for the hitch. Am i thinking correctly here that it would work ok if i keep trailer weight down under 600# of max capacity??Trying to stay away from those duallies if possible.
Also, anyone use RV DIRECT to purchase their rigs? Their price is lower for a 2009 than i can find a 2008 here. What's the catch beside driving to Des Moines to get it? Thanks in advance for the info. Keep up the great work on this site!! - TravlingmanExplorer IICongrats on the new rig. Have the Morryde on ours and wouldn't be without it. Suspension is great and I would get the pin box again. World of difference from a non-suspension pin box. You could try a couple of pulls with the regular pin box and see how you like it before changing.
Let us know how the PDI goes, and of course, we need PICs. - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerWelcome back Dave...
- Come-N-GoExplorerFinally, we made a deal, and I am pickipng up our new 35rlts up saturday. My question is, has anyone replaced their pin box? This one does not have the morryde pin box, and i want one. It has a dexter 7926 pin box on it, and I can not find where morryde makes one. I guess I will call twetys in the morning and ask. It does have the morryde suspension, how does everybody like these? I wonder if we will even need another pin box? THX for all replies.

- TravlingmanExplorer IImrbuck50, congrats on the soon to be new rig. Sure you will like it, as we really do ours. As L&MMUSIC said, lots of good reading on all the threads, some nice mods too. If it has a build date of Oct. 15, be ready to have it at the dealer by that date. Good luck, and we like pictures of the new rigs.:B
- L_MMusicExplorerWelcome MrBuck50. There are two other threads that started long ago when most of us were anticipating the arrival of our rigs! check out Jayco Designer 35RLTS and Designer 35rlts-its home
You've got plenty more reading to do!!!!! Have fun and enjoy the anticipation!!! - mrbuck50ExplorerGood day to all. I have been reading all of the posts related to the 35 RLTS. The wife and I are patiently awaiting the arrival of ours. It is SUPPOSED to be off the assembly line Oct. 15. I hope they are pretty close on that date. Anyway, I have been taking notes on the particular upgrades/changes that everyone has made. Just wondering if there are any others. I only read back to may on this thread. We will be fulltimers and this is our first 5th wheel. I wont be pulling it anywhere, as my job will pay for any moving that needs to be done. It is being delivered from Ashland, Ky. by a transport company.
Any and all questions/comments are appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
