- M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerL&MMusic,
The fireplace is a great thing for the entire trailer but be careful when the temp gets down to freezing or below...the furnace in the Designer is designed to heat the basement also where the pipes are at and heat needs to get down there...so what we do is if the temp is getting down to 32 or below we use the furnace so the basement will be heated also...above 32 we use the fireplace and another small ceramic heater if needed - TravlingmanExplorer IIF-450...Sweettttttttt... Looks like you got the rig loaded too. Way to go. The 42" TV and fireplace are great on a cold evening. As you have found out, the Mor-ryde is a great option. You will need the 2nd AC, as it is a big rig to cool down in the summer. Looking forward to seeing the pics, and again, welcome to the "35RLTS Cult" as I have saw it called before.
- 3wheelinExplorer2008 F-450...as far as extras, we got dual payne glass, bigger fridge, 2nd A/C, convection, Grand Cayman w/leather recliners, Fireplace, entertainment w/42" tv, gen. prep, grill, provincial wood, washer/dryer, high gloss paint, MOR-ryde pin, roof vents, elec. landing gear...pretty much loaded it up!Can't wait to get back in it.
- TravlingmanExplorer II3wheelin, congrats on the new rig and TV. We know what kind of rig you got, so what kind of TV? What kind of options did you get on the rig? Glad to hear it is going good so far. One thing we found out about our rig, was that everytime we go camping, we like it more and more. And before I forget, we need PICS....
- 3wheelinExplorerJust got back from picking up our 2008 Jayco Designer 35RLTS.. What a great rig! Drove to Seattle area (500 miles)and spent 3 nights at a KOA near the dealer to make sure all is well with the 5er. Only problem so far is trying to get the sink plug out...Finally had to use pliers. Will spend the next few days getting used to everything in the rig. Just purchased the TV also...what a dream pulling. It is like the two were made for each other. Thanks to all on this site for turning us on to this rig...We love it!
- CHV_FRKExplorerOur heater does a good job. We set it to 65ish (paint dot I added on panel) overnight. We use a small ceramic up in the bedroom just to heat the bedroom.
Sorry we don't have any vents on our stairs. I would imagine it's just to transfer some heat into the storage area. - L_MMusicExplorerBrrrr! It's cold here in Chattanooga! I know -- nothing like up in Michigan and Canada!!!
Do you guys know if there's anything wrong with covering the two vents that are on the steps? Cold air is coming up from the basement.
Good news: We've learned that leaving the fire place on heats the whole rig -- great when enough amps are available! Sure saves on propane costs! - eaherrmannExplorer:) Told ya :)
Come on December....Ft Lauderdale is a callin - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerGood to see you boys finally joined us big guys in towing with a dually! :)
- cruzExplorer2007dura,
Ditto on the ride part ... My '04 rode "pretty good" ... but this dually is smooth AND quiet !! Seats are much better too!
