Destination 36RL Trailer Life Review

I was impressed with the review in the July issue of Trailer Life magazine of the Winnebago Destination 36RL luxury fifth wheel. The review pointed out the negative aspects along with the positive aspects of the trailer. Definitely worth a read.

  • The tailgate shortcoming IS a show stopper - period. AS far as E Tires, shows they are cutting corners to save a buck - just like most other manufacturers.
  • Winnebago must not be paying enough in advertising fees to get a good review..

    B.O.
  • X2.

No drawer in the galley, except inside the pantry? What about the limited space to drop tailgate when hooking and unhooking. Yes, impressed with the magazine being honest about the traildr's short-comings.
  • I couldn't believe Winnebago would have a design where you cannot leave the tailgate on your truck down while hitching up. To me that is a major engineering blunder.
The review was spot on to point that out.
  • It was a good report. Hopefully they will address some of the issues. We will be in the market for a rear living room in a couple years and this looks like a good contender. It is a sharp looking unit and my biggest concern is the tailgate hitting the front issue.
  • It sure beats the usual fluff pieces (Oh everything is just peachy-keen!).
