Diesel generator for 5th wheels?
I usually see LP generator options for 5th wheels. I also see people recommend portable gas generators as well. How about diesel generators? I would think that since your tow vehicle is powered by die...

LP generator is still interesting for me because its clean and convenient even if it is slightly less efficient than the gas version. I need to carry propane tanks anyways, so carrying a bit more might be ok. May be I can go with two 40lb LP tanks plus some spare 30lb tanks...
Just out of curiosity, are gas generators ok if not used for weeks?
Sure gas will be OK for a few weeks, However with a gas generator there is always the potential for foul gas and gunking carbs. The longere it sits the more of an issue it becomes.
That doesn't mean gas needs to be run everyday,but using it regularly is more of an issue with gas vs. propane
