I'm curious if you have actually had an issue with that or did you just hear it? The reason I ask is I've never had a problem getting mine to start and sometimes we are at 12,000 ft when we pull over on the summits for a bite of lunch, and sometimes in storage I fire it up in the winter to run it for a while and often its below freezing. It's never failed to start yet. The only time I've ever had an issue is a frosted regulator once when running the generator and the furnace - evidently that is a high flow for that regulator.
