Good evening.
My wife and I went from a 32' tt bunk house with 2 slides to a 40' bunk house 5er with 4 slides.
We noticed a big difference on the highway when the 18 wheelers buzz past there's no sucking in on the 5er. Even just riding down the road the ride is more comfortable not as bouncy or jerky.
Turning is a lot easier and as well as backing up but yes do need extra room.
Learning to back up was a bit of a curve but now that we figured it out its a lot eaiser.
As for breaking and stopping we haven't really noticed a difference.
Starting out from a stop isn't to bad but we were pulling before with a 2500 Mega Ram with the 5.7. Wasn't bad just took our time and got up to speeds pretty quick.
We just bought a 2016 diesel 3500 Big Horn so we will see how much of a difference that makes.
We bought the good Sam gps that you place all your trailer info in like height, weight, amount of propane, It helps with knowing bridge heights and all. Tho we still pay attention on our own but a little extra help is nice.
We haven't found any campgrounds that said we are to big but a few where we could only use the 30 amp service. No biggie there.
But overall we are glad we went to the 5er of the TT.
