Differences/Similarities Forest River 5W
I have been trapped inside here in Northwest Indiana for the past two days with all roads officially closed due to heavy snow and record low temps. I have taken this time to do some on line shopping for a new 5th wheel but am overwhelmed by the choices available and could use some advice from you fellow RV'ers.
Just within the Forest River brand I have selected six different units that would fill my needs in terms of layout, length and weight but don't know a thing about quality of construction or materials used and this is where I need some help. My tenative list is:
Wildcat 293REX
Surveyor 293 RLTS
Rockwood Signature 8265WS
Salem Hemisphere 286RLT
Flagstaff 8226 RLWS
Silverback 29RE
The top five on the list have NADA prices ranging between 36 and 41 thousand. Only the Silverback has a NADA price outside that range at 53 thousand.
I frequently see references on these forums to "entry level, mid level, and full time" rigs. How would you characterize these units on my list? Feel free to warn me away from a brand that has given you a bad experience.
