We wanted to upgrade our DirecTV DVR to the new Genie. After tons of calls to DirecTV, found out the reason it did not work was that we have an older Slimline dish (2009). It has to be upgraded. We were bummed, but not ready to pay the money for a whole new dish. They sent a part (can't remember exactly what it was) but it did not work either. Not many people at DirecTV actually know about RV'ers and their particular needs.
