- Really not that difficult. Rolled my own last month.
I think I did a better install than any video I watched of the 'pros'.
I am sure Ron will do a great job. Please post pictures ;) - GoPackGoExplorer"You do realize there are very professional, skilled and certified mobile RV techs? I'd much rather have a skilled, experienced mobile RV tech work on my trailer than any dealership service center."
I agree completely and I've had the mobile guys do work on my rig several times - but always on what I would consider to be RV/trailer systems.
How many RV Mobile Mechanics have removed trailer drum brake systems and then added a complete new disc brake replacement system ? How many have done it more then once ? I'm sure they do all kinds of work on air conditioners, fridges, water heaters, leaky roofs, etc.
One of Ron's Performance Trailer Braking techs did the complete R&R on my Bighorn in about 6 hours. It was very apparent that he knew what he was doing ! Not to mention all the little tidbits I picked up regarding how long the pads would last, how the Ford actuation system differs from others, etc. - fj12ryderExplorer III

Yes, there are skilled, experienced mobile RV techs, but you have no way of knowing whether the one you just hired is one of them. I used one that had good reviews and was recommended by a local dealer. He was horrible, so to me going with someone who does brake installations for a living is a much more reliable way to go.GoPackGo wrote:
I think I would want someone who does these installs as a living instead of a jack-of-all-trades mobile RV guy.
One of Ron's guys did mine a couple months ago.

OP, I've heard great things about Performance. I did mine myself and it was fairly straightforward. Another vote for one of the best upgrades I've ever made to an RV. This is my 4th trailer (3rd 5th wheel) but first with disc brakes. - Poppy_s_5th_WheExplorer

update, talked with Ron at performance brake. That's the way I am going to go . Just need to work out the details. Ron knows his product very well and is very friendly. Thanks ford truck guy for the recommendation.
