Disc Brakes
Has anyone converted their fifth wheel to disc brakes? I am thinking of upgrading mine and was wondering if anyone has experience with conversion...

I'm in the process of putting my order together for a disc brake mod on our 5er. I'm at the point of adding a brake line kit and prefer using cut to proper length hard lines (yes, I have good tools for proper 37 degree flares plus tube benders) but have 3 of the MORryde X Factor spring bracket cross members to install at the same time. These cross members are located against the 5ers belly and add a few 'kinks' to the hard line assemblies. This brings up a Kodiak product which is a flexible brake line. My history using lengthy non-reinforced flex lines on high pressure systems is that they lead to spongy and inconsistent component actuation. This brings me to my questions - (1) has anyone used that Kodiak flexible line kit and (2)if so, is there any less then great brake application.

So just a thought for those with disc, consider a path of protection in your installs. I even considered running the main line inside of a heavy gas line tube down the side to the split to protect from such a thing in the future.

I would strongly advise to re bleed the brakes after the first 100 miles or less.
