Although it probably has tip-over protection, there could be some other "problem"..:( - (Murphy's Law)
Since you run that small box ceramic heater in an area which is *not* occupied by you......
(IMO) I would sure use a smoke detector system - like the battery powered one offered by Kidde - that causes ALL the detectors to alert when any *one* of them alert...;)
Wireless, and you purchase as many as you want.
See at Amazon. Kidde model RF-SM-DC
Smoke detector (and CO & propane) are still the best -and least expensive- life insurance policy you can buy..:C

The rest of the fiver is a different story. When the furnace in running a 2" piece of ductwork dumps directly into the underbelly. The floors will get warmer when using the furnace. If we just keep the fireplace and another ceramic heater on during the day then the floor does cool down. - 2hamsExplorerAs others said, floors are warm over heat ducts when furnace is running.
In the meantime, for $50 get yourself a pair of LL Bean Wicked Good slippers. Ours stay in the camper. - wraExplorerHave you tried using a rug?
- NC_HaulerExplorerMy 5er has "heated tile floor's" due to heating ducts locations....When furnace is on, the floor in the bathroom area and in the kitchen area are heated....while furnace is on.
- azdryheatExplorerPerhaps you need to upgrade in a big way: Some DP motorhomes have heated porcelain tile floors; Tiffin Phaeton and Allegro Bus, for example.
- pcm1959Explorer III imagine a custom builder like New Horizon, Spacecraft, or Continental Coach may have/offer heated floors. The floor of our Lifestyle is pretty warm. The belly has 2 layers of insulation with dead air space in between that houses the heat ducts. I have always felt it to be pretty well insulated and draft free. Good luck. Phillip
- Golden_HVACExplorerHorizonsrv.com will probably build you anything! Give them a call. Are you also looking for Aquahot boiler and hot water heating system?
That would also require a larger than average battery bank, and perhaps a couple of 120 watt solar panels.
Good luck,
Fred. - ChrisBarnesExplorer

A quick search only turned up this one:

There could be others and certainly the manufacturers that do custom design work would certainly include that as a possible option.
I did a quick search with google and I couldn't find anything. That doesn't mean anything I know, I just thought someone might have had some experience with it. - dezl_drExplorerDRV places the heating ducts under the floor with insulation below the basement. This heats the floors and its quite noticable when you are walking on it. It makes the floor warm to the touch.
