I am not trading in my truck for a DRW pickup. I don't buy the argument if you need air bags you are overloaded. My dad needed air bags on a DWR 3500 Crew Chevy and a DWR F350 Crew with a Lance slide in. I'm not wanting air bags to help towing. I was wanting them to bring the rear end up some.
The new shocks isn't for the sag, but the reason the Timbrens rode rough. My thought( and maybe the Moderators also) is that bad shocks would allow the rear suspension to travel faster and further than it would if the shocks were in good working condition allowing the Timbren to come into contact unloaded.
Ya, avoid the DRW if you can, they are a pain in the keester to park. Probably one of my bad choices in life as I'm learning to hate it. Tow monster, sure, but once you're there you have to deal with it as your only transportation.
Even with the DRW, I installed airbags to get it back to level. Unloaded the truck rides bad on the interstates with concrete, no matter what you do. It did from the factory. Something about the long bed crew cab synchronized with the worn concrete and that thing beats the P&&s out of us.
