The Timbrens were installed without the spacer disc provided. Without the disc installed there was a 1.5 in space for suspension travel. When I would hit a bump or a bridge expansion it would feel like the truck was bottoming out on its frame.
The truck is a 2006 with 120k mi. Could my leaf springs be worn out?
Think I would seriously consider taking your truck to a spring shop for evaluation. I'm running pretty much the same configuration, with slight leveling as well, and it rides (unloaded) nowhere even close to the bump stops. My pin weight is probably close to, or more, than yours, and it only squats a couple of inches. The leveling does make it appear slightly worse than it is however.
