Do you use your external gas grill?

We used ours all the time, and we camp at 8,500 to 9,500 feet regularly. Never found anything I couldn't burn to a crisp on it, for those special, "well done", orders. ;) I do prefer my current grill, but the RVQ was not bad.
Now that I think back, my first RVQ was great, and I traded my new one back to the dealer for my old one when I bought my second TT. The new one was a big stainless steel looking grill that didn't work very well. My old one was a smaller, black grill, that I still have out in my shed.

We've been happily using the RVQ that attaches to the side of our fifth wheel for nine years without any issues or problems. With the quick connect/disconnect it is convenient.

Our RVQ works fine for veggies and steaks, just took some practice to get the temp setting right.

I have looked but not seen anything more versatile than my Magma marine stainlees steel grill.

It mounts on any picnic table with my homemade mount. It mounts on the basement slide out tray using a surface mount fixed onto the tray. It even mounts on the truck reciever hitch using a homemade plug of wood which fits the hitch.

Never a thought of cooking on the ground. No need to carry around a table to put a grill on.

Before using our RVQ I stuck it on the side, hooked it up and then ran it on high in my driveway to see any issues. The side of the trailer wasn't the least bit hot , only slightly warm. I wouldn't set it going and walk away, but that goes without saying. The only thing I'm careful on is to make sure the windows near it are closed so the smoke doesn't get inside. Outs is showing its age and while I toy with the idea of getting the small Traeger, if someone wants to get rid of their new and not used unit send me. PM.

The RVQ will work just fine for occasional use like you describe. You shouldn't need to do any modifications, it will be setup to run off the quick connect under the attachment location. With that said I have had 2 of them because they came with the trailers, hated them, and trashed both. Got a portable stainless steel grill and removed regulator to run off the quick connect.

I used a RVQ for 5 years on my last RV with no problems. Very convenient.

As so many others, we don't use it so I got rid of it. Use the space for storage now. It was a mess to clean, it even got dirty with cooking orders, grease, etc, inside the cab it's stored in. I would never get it again, at least to us it was a waste. On the other hand we use the barbecue all the time.

For us, I have tried 3 routes. The RVQ went in the trash right away. It was mickey mouse quality and to small for our needs. Then we tried a gas grill with a hose connect to the TT propane, similar to the post above. It might be my fault, but I have never had success with gas grills. This one was no exception. I got full flame but could never get the grill hot enough for searing meat. Hot dogs and hamburgers were OK, but not much else. And boy, are gas grills a mess to clean. The grease never burns off.

Finally went to a full size charcoal grill. It takes up space in the suburban, but since grilling at the campsite is a priority for us, it is a reasonable trade. Charcoal gets HOT. And is suprisingly easy to maintain and clean.

Our fifth had the low pressure line capped off in the rear, near the side. We did not get a grill with our unit.
I found a two burner stainless grill at a local propane dealer.
It was a simple matter to install a propane quick disconnect and valve.
Added a 15 ft hose and the entire "system" works very well.
