Here ya go - the only triple axle 28AKL (that I am aware of).
It isn't complete yet as the fender flare cut outs do not exactly match up to the axle placement. The fender flares are different sizes between the double and triple(height and width). So I gotta go out next week and pick up some more metal for the side skirt area to reposition the fender flares. It is sitting on the side yard right now but I will get another full side picture like the original "before" pic soon.
Front axle was left in the same position. The second axle was moved rearward 2" for the conversion.
I also had the Trailair EquaFlex installed. Not sure what made the HUGE different in ride quality (3 axles or Trailair) but it tows alot smoother now.
I couldn't find a matching center cap for the wheels on the added axle.... I know it is minor, but it bugs me. I've looked all over with no luck.
Here are some pics that I can get in the tight area where it is parked right now.

Really nice work..... Hate to think it's gonna get dirty at some time ;)
When I had my triple axle toyhauler, I found it best to rotate the tires more frequently. You'll probably notice the most wear on the rear axle tires. - RacormanExplorer

Great job !!
Does your mount lock in position or are you planning on removing the television while towing ??_
I put an easy on/off mount on the bracket. I could modify the bracket to lock, but for now, I think it's easier to take the TV down when we travel.
Here is the mount: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VKCIJU/ref=oh_details_o02_s02_i00 - my996duc1Explorer

Done.....
Now we have TV in the bedroom...... both satellite and TV antenna connected. I was able to snake a 25' HDMI cable between the roof and ceiling from the satellite receiver next to the living room TV
There is a structural frame member in the wall that runs from the floor to the ceiling which I bolted the swing out bracket to.

Did anyone order a TV option in the bedroom. I'm shopping for a TV mount and where to place it. Thanks! - RacormanExplorer

Nice. Thanks for posting up pictures. Glad it all came together for you! One of the best things about America is our choice to do what fits our situation. This was the right way to go but it took a lot of research and time to figure out.
So in round numbers what did this cost?
Yes, alot of time on the research. The forum did provide me with some good questions to ask Lippert, so in the end I know this was the correct way to solve this particular problem.
I need to get over to weigh it again after adding the third axle, so I can see how the weight is now distibuted differently. When I weigh I try to get it done at each wheel so I can see real numbers and know exactly what is going on at each wheel.
I was originally quoted $2k by a local trailer shop.
Won't have a solid actual cost until I finish up the cosmetic stuff.
I am guessing I will be into it for right around $2k (maybe a tad bit less) by the time I am done. So I think it came out pretty good considering the Trailair Equa Flex was not in the original quote by the trailer shop.
A person could cut corners and do it for considerably less but I wanted it to look factory and everything match; right down to the center caps, tires, wheels, lug nuts, ect.... and I trust the factory welds alot more than I trust my own metal melting.
_ - naytherExplorerVery nicely done and good to hear that you got good customer service from both companies. I continue to hear great things about Attitude.

That came out really nice. Did Lippert do all the work or was Eclipse involved as well?
The conversion would have never happened if it wasn't for both companies willing to help me out.... team effort.
Eclipse =
- got me in contact with the correct guy at Lippert
- sourced the now outdated wheels
- sourced me two matching tires (all 6 match)
- triple axle fender flares
- going to show me how to change out the metal side skirting so I can align the fender flares to the axles/tires.
Lippert =
- sourced/made the matching axle and springs
- welded up and installed axle and springs
- installed the Trailair Equa Flex system
The guys at both places really went out of the way to help me out. I can't say enough good stuff about them. I am just a "no-body" and they really went the extra mile to help me out. Great companies with great people !!
