Does anyone else own the 2012 Attitude FL28AKLG

My shower leak appeared in the same spot you reference, but the source was around where the knobs are. Apparently the water gets in there and runs down to the bottom left of the shower. The factory fixed mine and I can now see additional silicone around the fixture.

New here but not new to Toy Haulers. My previous rig was a 1998 Prowler 26A bumper pull. Owned it since new and it was built like a tank. Really good quality and it did the job I was just ready for something bigger and more modern.

Bought my 28AKGL about 3 weeks ago off a small lot. The trailer had been on the lot for awhile and got a great deal on it. April '11 build date. 8160lbs dry on the tag.

After doing some research and talking to the factory direct. I found out a few things may be different on the same model since Eclipse doesn't wait until a new model year to make changes. Things that I know of that have changed are:
1) interior upholstry has been changed 1x and they are in the process of making another change.
2) The thermostat has been moved. Mine is on a cabinet beside the kitchen at the stairs. Some have the thermostat in the bedroom. I not sue why it was changed.
3) Mine has a switch on a panel underneath the refrigerator. I couldn't find any information on what it was, so I called. I was told this is a rapid charger for the batteries. When on It bumps the voltage coming out of the converter to 15 volts. I believe this was only on the early build dates. I'm thinking they removed it since leaving it on would increase the chances of boiling the batteries. Either that or it was cost savings change. I'm just speculating but I'm glad mine has it since it will become handy when dry camping and I go to charge the batteries.

These are the things I've found wrong so far. Nothing significant and I've fixed most of them myself to avoid the 3 hour round trip to the dealer. I've only camped 1x and had full hookups. Weekend after next will be the first dry camping run.
1) battery frame was too small to fit batteries in (really?). This was an odd mistake as the angle iron was 1/4" to narrow to accept a battery. I left them as is and modified the compartment to hold 3 batteries.they fit nicely and in the future I'll be looking for a way to get a 4th in there.
2) city water outside hookup is angled back and slightly up. This really isn't too much of an issue except the rubber cap that goes on it has tore off where it attaches around the fitting. I was going to try to fix this but found that where it hooks up inside is right in front of the wall between the stove and underneath the sink. This make the hose come into the fitting at an angle. There isn't too much that can be done about it. The whole access to the city water/ tank water should have been moved about 2" forward on the outside wall.
3) fuel pump leaked as soon as I turned it on. The 4 bolts on the head were loose. Tightened them up and good to go.
4) the little pin that holds the curtain over between the bed and shower came out the first time I used it. This isn't surprising since it isnt supported from behind in any way. Poor design. I haven't fixed it yet and don't know if I will. If I used a wall anchor and it pulls out again I'll just have a bigger hole than I have now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
5) shower leak. I got some clear caulking and am going to try and fix this. I've tried to narrow the leak down and it seems like its coming from the left hand corner of the shower where the frame and bottom meet. It remains to be seen if I have found it or not.
6) the cabinet underneath the sink was tearing from where it mounts. If you look at it you'll see what I mean. I used a 2x4 and some shims to brace it from the bottom so it can't angle down and get pulled from its mounts.

So here are some questions I have for those of you who've got the same trailer.
1) has anyone installed an inverter? If so where did you mount it and did you tie it directly into the converter?
2) has anyone found if there is a the known spot of the shower leak? It seems like its been mention but the source hasn't been identified.
3) what's up with the huge inaccesable void above the refrigerator? It looks like the front cabinet is glued on and there is no way to get in there without destroying the front panel. Has anyone got in there and utilize the space?
4) what's up with the huge waste of space above the generator? Look up and to the left when in your battery compartment and you'll see what I mean. Has anyone found a use for this yet?

That's about taps me out as far as what I know about the trailer and the questions I have. Thanks for taking the time to read it.

That's good to know. Sounds like many of us have had the same issues. I was impressed with the factory's quick turnaround time on mine...2 days on a pretty long list. That's also about how long I think it is going to take me to sort through and reconfigure the wiring in the battery compartment...Nice lack of grommets in several locations looks like a recipe for a short. Other wires dangling and hastily bundled look suspect as well.

2 days? Mine has been at barber rv in ventura for almost three weeks trying to get parts and repairs completed. they are having to fight tooth and nail to get warranty things accomplished. I just hope its done by next weekend. I have even had to make phone calls to eclipse to talk with them and remind them what they told me. I wish I lived closer to riverside...oh wait, no I dont. :)

WOW, 3 weeks... might have been worth the drive to Riverside.
Mine has always been fixed and returned the same day by Attitude.
I found a few problems the night after taking delivery. The dealership wanted me to drop it off for a week to fix a few things that Attitude fixed the next morning while I waited for it.
The experience with my dealership has been not so great.... while I have been back to Attitude more than once, they have always got me in and out in the same day and I have never had to go back with the same problem twice.

FWIW, a good buddy of mine, and several other aquaintenaces as well, had repairs completed at Barber RV. They took forever! Four months for a "new trailer - factory covered repair" was disgusting. After hearing that, I refused to take my trailer there for even minor repairs. JMHO.

Picked up my toy hauler last friday. a few problems the couch is falling off the wall and is not centered in the slide out. it hits the wood trim when you lower it to sit on it. so far I'm happy with the trailer. 8500 pounds with a slide out

One more thing to check is where the dump hose stores. the tube goes right under the sink and the cap on the end of mine was not even glued into the pipe. I dont use it for that dump hose but for those that do be aware that it comes in right under your sink and may leak all of that goodness into the living space.
