Does the Raptor 3712TS have a heated garage?

I can't find the info on the spec sheet, so I was hoping someone would know.

Thanks,
Jesse

Thanks Honda. Did the AC come with the heat strip, or did you install that?

Came with the unit. We do use the ceramic heater more for the ease of it though. The garage floor is not insulated. It will be next season :)

Whitehouse did you keep the pics of your ducting project? I recall when you did that.

The other issue is that I'm not sure there is/was much insulation on some of the older Raptors in the garage walls and floors. The only time our garage was to cold to use was when we camped in the snow, the other times the ceramic heater kept it just fine.

No I wish I would have. But bkirkpatrick did. :) My 2009 Raptor is cooler than my 2006. Think it must be because of all the large windows.

As Y-Guy mentioned a small heater will keep it plenty warm.

  • I think many of the new ones do offer ducted heat to the garage. If not, you can modify it pretty easy. I ducted it on my 2006 3612 & my current one the previous owner ducted it.
  • That makes sense, thanks Y-Guy. We are looking at a Raptor to live in, and with the kids sleeping in the garage, want to make sure they don't turn into ice-cicles...
  • Many garages do not offer heat or ducted air, our 3612 didn't. I think this is done to keep any garage fumes out of the main cabin. A separate AC unit that isn' ducted wouldn't have this problem. What we found was placing a small ceramic heater on the low/med setting kept the back plenty warm. Heat strips, in most cases, cost more then a ceramic heater and put out less heat.

  • Our Raptor 381 has heat via the heat strip in the A/C No heat ducts.
