Dometic refrigerator shuts off during the night on 50 amp

We are hoping someone can help us. We have a 2007 fifth wheel that has a Dometic refrigerator on a 50 amp. The refrigerator turns itself off in the middle of the night and occasionally during the day. We turn the refrigerator on/off button at the top, off wait about 30 seconds and turn it back on and the lights on the inside of the refrigerator will come on for a few seconds and then it cuts itself back off. We have checked for ammonia smells and taking the cover off the back to see if we can find anything that looks corroded or anything like that but it all seems to be fine. If we leave the refrigerator alone on off for a few hours and then turn it back on the refrigerator will come on and stay on for the rest of the day but the check light is lit up at the top of the refrigerator. Any help would be much appreciated thanks!

Yes we are hooked up to shore power when experiencing the problem. The fridge is set to auto. And battery less than a year old.
  • The fridge electronics and lights operate on DC. When hooked to shore power or running the generator your fridge can operate on AC (the AC used exclusively to power the heating element).

Query - are you hooked up to shore power when experiencing problems? And what settings are you using on fridge (auto or gas). The "check light" implies that your fridge has failed to ignite propane and you normally won't see that if your connected to shore power assuming you have the auto setting on the fridge. The lights dying after a few seconds would imply DC power issue .... have you had your batteries checked?
