Don't be In a hurry to go to the Big Guys

Don't forget when you have a problem that there are plenty of qualified repair places out there other than the big guys.Just got my slide motor replaced and it works like a charm now. Had one done before by a big Dealer and they charged more and said it took longer. This is after waiting weeks for an appointment. I called East Coast RV and Truck Repair in Westport MA. and they made an appointment for a few days after the call and then had the camper back before the week was out.It turned out to be a great experience and the cost was less than a third of what I was quoted by one of the most popular big guys. I would recommend this shop anytime you are in there area and if not then take the time to call around, you too will probably find better service than you expected. It is nice now and then to hear about a good experience after reading about so many problems here on the forum.

  • Big or small, any business is only as good as their worst employee at that particular location.

  • I've had good experiences with mobile RV techs. The hardest part is finding them, in a strange part of the country. Many don't keep their Web-presence up to date.

  • Yes I did after posting here. I hope others use these sources, because it will keep the good guys open and maybe close up some of the bad service centers.
