Don't Laugh

It's a beautiful spring day here so I decided it was time to de-winterize the 5'ver. Got the cover off and put away. Slideouts deployed to start getting some fresh air into the camper. Got valves shut off, water hoses ready, and all the little things you need to do. Started the water and bleeding off air when suddenly nothing coming out of the kitchen faucet. Water flowing out of the bathroom, shower and toilet but nothing in the kitchen. Quick check and no water flowing from the bottom of the camper so nothing broke. Just started to take stuff out of the cabinets to trace water lines when I recall an article from a few months ago, about a clogged aerator..could it be that simple..."drum roll please". Yep it was. 10 years of camping and this is the first time it has happened to me.
  • Glad that's all it was. Live and learn. Have a great season!
  • I know you got a chuckle out of that, after exhaling, when the water started flowing....we can't wait ourselves. Have a great year.

    Stay Safe,
    Mike
  • Aren't you glad it was just the aerator.......

This was the first year in over 30 yrs. that I have 'winterized'
When de-winterizing I was anxious....waiting for that 'leak'. Kitchen sink sprayer. $10 fix.....whew!

Kitchen faucets seem to clog first.......probably due to proximity to water heater and being the first faucet turned on.

I always blow water (hot/cold) out low point drains to flush/fill system.
  • I have never had such an EASY REPAIR but I welcome the chance to experience sometime. :h
