You will also have to keep a logbook while pulling the doubles, just like when driving a commercial truck. Yes even though you are on vacation, and clearly it is not a commercial tow.
Your partner will also need a commercial license if they plan on driving during the vacation too.

Fred, I'm pretty sure you do NOT need to keep a log when pulling double for recreational use. Having lived in Calif all my life and driven professionally for 30 years this is the first time anyone has said you need to log when driving a non commercial RV for personal use. Are you a commercial LEO in Calif? As far as needing the Commercial Class A with Doubles endorsement and current medical card, this is true if you are licensed in Calif. Other states may not require it, I really don't know.
