I sure wouldn't count on that. The OP could find themselves turned around at the border or shortly thereafter. Not a good start to an Alaska vacation.
The OP could cross into Alberta and minimize the time spent in BC.
Don't forget that a trailer over 2000kg (in BC) must have brakes.
