Have you ever heard of a (documented) case where someone has paid through the nose higher rates because their *RV* trailer was too heavy ..... has there ever been a case where an insurance company even asked what the weight was.....
I know that down here, my insurance company wanted the =specific= model that I had, and it's not hard to find weight #'s from that. Just because they don't ask, doesn't mean that they don't know. Hell, a call to the mfr with the VIN, would give them the =exact= weight that it left the factory with and the placarded GVW.
