The hitch is not going to be a big problem. Any hitch that will work with the 5er will be fine. I pull with a gooseneck, for 15yrs, with a 3500lb boat. The boat reduces your hitch weight some so you may need to load the nose of the 5er to compensate. Your main worry is not the hitch but some way to monitor the boat tires and make sure nothing is flying out of the boat. Check your boat hitch chains, welds and/or bolts at every stop.
