LOOKING AT THE KOA'S ALONG THE WAY.... ANYONE FIND SOME... WON'T STOP THERE AGAIN ALONG THE WAY...GOING ABOUT 5-6 HRS A DAY.. FIRST DAY WILL BE NEAR TALLAHASSEE, THEN BATON ROUGE.....ETC...ANY ADVICE..?
  • ok... here we go... leaving florida heading to Arizona.... via I-10,,, looking to stay at the KOA's... anything we should know..?.. how about the good sams club resorts..?
  • Pick up US 90 in San Antonio. Stop in Langtry, TX and visit the Judge Roy Bean Museum. You can dry camp in Town. Just ask the person at the Museum desk where to park. Free or a small donation.
Stop in Marfa, TX to view the Marfa Lights. Plan your travels so you get to the Viewing area late evening. Have dinner and get set to see the lights when it gets dark. You can also spend the night. Dry Camping.
Stop in Van Horn, TX. Spend the night at the KOA. Have dinner at Cheuy's.
  • Piece of advice=drop the CAPS.
Figure out what city you will be in when and then go to RVParkReviews and search those states and cities.
  • Please turn off your caps, it is taken to be yelling. Your post wasn't clear to me. Do you mean you are looking for KOAs on your route or do you mean you won't stay at a KOA?
  • There is not much in west Texas along I-10. It can be lonely as well. I left Ft.Stockton one morning around 4AM, and drove 45 minutes before I saw another vehicle going either way. Wife had to drive 20 miles off the interstate one time to find fuel.
