I had a pullrite superglide for 3 years. Never dropped the 5er but I can see how it could happen. I did have a few times where the latch handle did not go in all the way.
When that happened I always pulled it back out and realigned. Then it would latch properly.
The one year we spent 6 weeks in Florida at beaches. It got a lot of sand in it and would not latch.
Had to remove and clean out. Used a lot of WD-40 to loosen everything up. Worked great after that.
Unfortunately I don't have that hitch any more. Truck was totaled this past winter and hitch went with truck. We where in Alabama at the time. Had a friend come rescue us and tow 5er home. Had to buy new truck and decided to go with B&W hitch. That way if a friend of mine was in need I could help tow them. With the pullrite you have to deal with different style capture plates.
