Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the B&W hitches are less prone to this. If there's weight on the hitch it won't unlock. At least mine is that way.
And don't pin the handle in the open position. That's about the only way you can drop your trailer with a B&W hitch. It's a pretty foolproof hitch.
