As far as your truck damage is concerned:
The panels on each side are damaged so they will replace them. Their called "bedsides" and it's literally a matter of drilling out 100 or so spot welds then the panel comes right off. New panel goes on, multiple plug welds are made in same place old ones were just drilled out, some seam sealer along all seams, and it's ready for paint.
Usually around 9 hours per side--body guys love em, they aren't that hard to replace.
Many people assume if a bed is damaged the whole bed will need replaced. That's not the case at all, companies don't offer an entire bed painted to match. It's bedsides and a tailgate then paint. Standard for any good collision center. I'm explaining this to ease your mind about the truck if it helps at all...they'll fix it up just fine.
