Mike, after I posted those I went back and looked at yours again. I agree, your jaws are further misaligned. If you get a chance, would be good to flip the head over and shoot some shots of the bottom side. The linkage must be damaged somehow.

I can see that happening from great side force on the jaws. They are designed to oppose great pulling force, like a Chinese finger device, but not really for side forces.
