Agree with the payload need and that's why we required our 38RSSA to be badged with the same GVWR as an Elite RSSA (21 vs 19). While it will add 2K in payload it will also be lessened with the upgrades we added (e.g. fiberglass roof, etc).
I also happen to have a Love's across the street from my RV storage so the dry weight will be easy to verify before loading it down. Don't believe the placard would be incorrect though as many that we've looked at had different payload values for the same models (equipped different).
