But it's not going to happen, so I adjust and live w/ it. Towing the RV (Pin 3700, dry 14,000, total max 16,000), makes life a lot more enjoyable.
The 2020 Is a totally different truck than your 2015 was. I believe there is a significant difference in the suspension of the 2020 vs my ‘17 . As well, even though I don’t feel I need the benefit of a long box, the long box will tow nicer than a short box.
I just took a gander at Ford's '20 towing info and despite a 350 w/ the 12,400 pkg, it's cargo capacity is only 3751 lbs. In my case w/a pin of 3700, doesn't leave a whole lotta room for extra stuff. When I had the '15, it scaled out at 12,350 on truck w/ trailer so already over the 11,500 rating for that model year and if I went by the 12,400 rating (long box which I wouldn't want, but that's a different thing), I'd still be right on the border line. Yes I'm sure the newest trucks all have higher tow ratings, but when it comes to SRW and CCC, IMO, not a whole lotta wiggle room with a. pin of 3700 or close to it.
