Dumb question about climate control in the garage

In general, are the garages ducted for heat and a/c like the rest of the interior? Just making sure the kids will be comfortable sleeping in there. Isn't that the intent?
  • As we have explored the Toy Hauler for some 10 years now (it keeps coming back up on our dream list), I have found a heated and air conditioned garage depends upon the model. I have seen some with beds in the garage and no air conditioning or heat, and others that do. If you find a model that interests you, check it out first.
  • You didn't say how large a rig. In our 43' TH, I added a 3rd AC in the garage It is ducted, but on a hot day it does take it running to cool the garage. The heat is ducted as well, but very small ductwork and at the far end of the run, so it gets is the coolest area on cold days. I bought a 1500 watt ceramic heater to use in the garage on colder days.
  • Wel, we really like the Cherokee Wolfpack 325pack13. Have been in it once last weekend at the dealership. We haven't been able to make it back to check it out and the question occurred to me. It's about 40' long.
  • I found this video on YouTube. If you can handle the guy talking and stumbling around, you do get a good shot of the garage roof where you can see the air-conditioning ducts. I looked carefully, and did not see any heat ducts in the garage in this video. Click here for first video.

I couldn't see any heat ducts in this one either: Another You Tube video here.

This one shows the garage a lot better. There again, I see no heat ducts, only the 2 round ducts on the ceiling for the air conditioner (near the place where the "entertainment center" is) Click here.
