Ah, let me update my previous post. We've now owned our Dune Sport for 3 years. We'd had a problem with the fresh water tank leaking since the beginning and despite a couple of checks by our local RV repair place without totally removing the tank they could figure out the problem. Recently, determined to work it out before a desert trip where we would need all 50 gallons that the tank is supposed to hold.
My husband finally located the hole. Apparently when one of the floor tie downs was installed by DuneSport, they drilled a hole through both the floor and the fresh water tank.
We are still struggling with repairing the pull down bed. When the showed us how to work it when we purchased it, the sales guy had to use most of his weight to pull it down. We now know that it's because the wheel system was mis installed and one of the wheels is flattened, making the roller motion difficult to happen. To fix it we will need to take it apart, replace the flattened wheel then put it back together. A task that sent difficult, it just takes 3-4 people to take the system apart due to the size and weight. We will eventually do it ourselves since the labor cost would be expensive.
Oh, and don't forget the fit issue with the back loading door where you can see daylight out one upper corner when closed. We keep watching to make sure we don't end up with water leaking in at that point in the rain. So far, hasn't happened but we're trying to figure out a piece of flashing that won't obstruct the operation of the loading door but will keep rain out when we start getting back to normal amounts of rain here in Calif.
So, I am really glad the recent purchaser has had a good experience with DuneSport...but, that wasn't my experience.
Mod's note: I deleted the weird post that bumped this old thread. I'll leave yours up since it has new info. I'm sorry you're still having trouble. Good luck.
