eide boat motor carrier

I want to put my 7 hp motor in truck bed next to slider hitch. not an easy task to lift and set in. I did see the eide carrier. has any seen or have one. or how do we transport an outboard motor. thanks
I am booked in Havasu 21-27, but will need to move dates back because of medical. I will cancel in next few days if anyone is looking for these dates. we have a great site

  • I have the new Suzuki EFI 20 hp that only weigh 95#, pretty easy for two people to load. I wrap it in a moving blanket and put it in the rear of the bed. Have long box so no problem. Inflatable boat goes in front of hitch.
  • A 7hp OB is not too very heavy. Mount a board in the truck bed, possibly bolted to the 5th wheel frame, & clamp the motor to the board.

If you have a receiver hitch on the trailer a bracket to hold the motor could be fabricated to go in that. You will need some thick skin to stand up to the comments about the OB on the back of the trailer though.

Used to carry a 2hp on the back of a scooter clamped to its carrier. An unusual sight to be sure.
