Electric Fireplaces

Hi Goducks,

Have you taken the time to open one up to see the low quality JUNK they use and call an outlet? I did, and immediately replaced all but four of the outlets with ones that have screws.

We're just the opposite, even turn it on in the summer time, without the heat to act as a night light for grandkids. Don't know which electric heater you have, but the small 1500 watt ceramic heaters don't look any where near as good as the electric fireplace our 5er came with...you can adjust the flame and I was really amazed at how good it looks and put's out enough heat to heat the part of the living room it's in If one is looking for a nice ambiance with an electric fireplace, I recommend them. Mine has adjustable heat and three speed fan, and again, you don't even have to turn the heat on to enjoy the flame display.

I'd recommend one, if it isn't enough you can buy a $15 ceramic heater and use it to supplement the fireplace supplemental heat:).

Whats wrong with the OEM outlet? I've plugged in 1500W space heaters in several TT's and our 5'er using different wall outlets in each. Never a problem. Breakers are 15A.

We are picking up our new Gulfstream Yellowstone which didn't have a FP. So, we ordered one that will fit perfectly into our new rig and has a slight curved front! Here is what we ordered.

We will take it down to the dealership on Thursday to have them install it. I love the curved front!

it won't put out any more heat than the Lasko 1500 watt ceramic heater.

I took out three drawers in the cabinet below our TV and put in an electric fireplace a few years ago. It was easy, looks factory installed and plugs into a nearby existing receptacle.

All of the heat is blown out of the front of the fireplace unit so there is no worries about overheating the surrounding cabinet.

The fireplace will warm up the living area and keep it toasty in 40 to 50 degree outside temps. We haven't been in anything under 38 degrees so not sure how it would do in really cold weather.

It has saved having to use the heater to get the chill out in the morning. Plus it provides a little fake fire ambiance while watching TV. Ours even has sound effects you can turn on or off (popping and crackling fire).

We are in the middle of an epic winter camping trip. Been near zero a few days, and cold everyday. I had a good place to install an elec fireplace under my entertainment area, before we left on the trip. Should have done this years ago. I say do it.

Our TT came with a fireplace. It only puts out 1400 watts but does help (and it looks nice).
