Electrical issues in attitude toyhauler

Hello, I'm new to this website but hoping I can get some help. I have a 19' 2006 attitude toyhauler. I am having issues with the electrical. It started when I went camping at a motorcycle park. I had to plug into a 15a gfi outlet. It instantly tripped the gfi. Went on the web and found something that said unplug the nuetrals one at a time. I found the problem I thought. When I got home I plugged in and went to check my generator and there was a loud buzzing noise. I flip the breaker off on the generator and the buzzing stopped. I found the junction box where the power comes in and then goes to another junction box that I think goes to the generator. I unplug the wires and then shortly after I went to plug them back in and the black had power and the neutral also had power and the neutral arched badly when being connected. I also checked in the breaker box where all the neutrals and grounds are connected and it shows that I have 120 V between the ground and the neutral busbar.it seems that the power to the inverter is not coming from the breaker it's coming from the white neutral that's connected but if I shut the breaker off for the converter it kills the converter. Hopefully this is making sense to somebody that can help me with this issue thank you.

  • Your power chord will go into it as well as the genny chord might be the grey box you herd buzzing
  • Ok. Where would that be located? In the generator compartment or somewhere else?
  • Excuse me!?? Who are you to say what knowledge I have or don't have??? I came to this site just like your here to supposedly "help" people but apparently not!!
  • I think you would do well to take it to a service center and have an experienced RV electrical technician check it. No offense meant, but it sounds as though you may not have enough electrical knowledge to be able to safely troubleshoot the problem yourself.
