If you're running 16" tires get some LT's instead and never have a tire worry again.
I agree with azdryheat. I know this is not choosing between your two trailer tire options but I think it's relevant: I go LT's on all my trailers now (Boat, jetski and 5ver). Currently running Michelin Defender LTX's on our 40' unit. Very stout capacity rating, smoother ride than the 110 PSI units, better traction in the rain, higher speed rating (easy 80 mph in Utah!), and a lot less $$.
Maybe you ,and azdryheat could expand on this LT theory. I know the G614's are an LT tire for trailer use only, and meet many weight ratings on the bigger fifth wheels.
Many LT 235/85/16's are rated for 3042, and cannot meet the axle ratings of the bigger fifth wheels with 7K axles . The Michelin Defender LTX are no exception. Possibily your 40' unit is a triple axle ,which might make sense, but a 7K double axle those LT tires you are pushing don't meet the axle ratings.
They may be great tires ,but just the fact they don't meet the OEM weight rating is not good advice for the larger fifth wheels, and 40' is larger.
