engine chips for tow vehical

I have never used a tuner. I have owned a truck that had had one on it, and it destroyed the electronics. Ran fine until you started towing. It would run a few miles and loose all its power. Dealer finally confirmed that it use to have a tuner, and it missed up electronics. Have a local mechanic working on Durmax, that was also missed up due to tuner. Guess gas would be less expensive as your dealing with a gas engine instead of diesel. It is very risky. I would not take the chance.

X2... money's better spent on improving air in / air out... does no good to dump more fuel in there if it can't get out...

Get a hold of Mike @ 5 Star Tuning. His SCT tuner does work!

You could easily get that extra H.P. if you had a diesel but they're probably a waste of money with a gas engine. I have one on my diesel but have never tried it on a gas.
