Escape 5.0TA fifth wheel

Anyone have one or know someone that does? I have been planning on a truck camper because I could not find a small enough fifth wheel. But this looks like it would still get into most of the older parks with smaller sites.

Coincidentally I just started looking for short 5th wheels also because I could not find a TC that had room or storage without having to buy a dully truck. I saw this on the web but not in person. It looks like it can be towed with a 1/2 ton truck which is another good feature. The only down side it did not have a slide. Let us know what you learned from the MFG.
  • I am going to contact them, they look like they are willing to work with you on customizing the camper as it is built. I am going to install Radiant Floor Heating in what ever I get, if I can get the tubing installed while being built it will make things easier.

Don't know of anyone that has one, but I actually =saw= one this past week at Campland in San Diego. First one I've ever actually seen. Didn't have time to stop and gab, or I certainly would have. :B

I have a 2023 escape 5.0. Had a medium size truck camper, but could not support a bigger one without going dually. The 5.0 is three season (no heated tanks) but you could winter camp if you dry camper.  Regarding insulation, it seems fairly good, simular to my previous lance 915 truck camper.  So have the "insulated" swing out windows. No problem keeping 72 inside using a 1500watt space heater. In the summer have no problem keeping 72 inside on a humid 95 degree day, running the ac in the low setting.  Condensation has been minimal, and zero when I run a small dehumidifier.  No reason to crack any windows or vents.
