Evergreen RV to shut down this week

Businesses and investors in this country are often criticized and are the target of much hatred from some political forces for the decisions they make but there is much financial risk in starting and operating a successful enterprise. This is what can happen. Sad for their employees who no doubt did everything they could to help it survive.

Always sad to see a business go under....

I just traded in my orphan Alpenlite for a Lifestyle Luxury. Looks like I have another orphan. I just hope that this orphan will be as good as the last one was. In 10 years all I did to it was replace tires and batteries. If this lifestyle goes 10 years Ill be to old to RV. Guess I know how to pick the companys that are going out of business.

This is why you always buy from a company that weathered the down turn of 07-8, those are the companies that do not build on speculation.Such as Newmar and several others, they require a commitment of 50% of the price up front, then they build your coach.

That's why we love our Newmar, its 16 years old and it is the same voice on the phone every time I call.

The three times I've had to fix stuff "I" broke, the phone call resulted in "Yes sir we'll have it the mail this afternoon.
Once I cut it too close to a fuel island and bumped a basement door, the local body shop wanted $2500.00 to repair and repaint to match. I called Newmar and the door was on its way painted in original color for $600 with directions on how to remove and replace.

companies started in 07-08 built on speculation hoping they could sell, some didn't.

That's a shame, in that they were the ones building the slide motorcycle hauler (Alpha Gold 3905SH). Some real innovation there.
