We don't.
There is also an Excel Forum on iRV2 that is open.
Some people don't like and won't participate in open forums. They don't want their information and photos shared with strangers. - goducks10Explorer

Don't post photos, use an alias and don't put your address in the profile. - drfifeExplorer

Unfortunately, that does not bolster a sense of community.
Thus, the reason for the closed Facebook group. - bigmichaelExplorer

I never cease to be amazed! Who knew that someone advising they had started a new facebook group would be controversial. LOL - fastpeteExplorer

It is also part of Facebook rules that one cannot simply start a group and then add friends to it without the friends permission.
I've been an administrator on several groups in Facebook. I have noted many times where I have been added to a group, without even knowing the group existed. Of course, I immediately leave these groups. Its really unethical and just an attempt by whoever founded the group to have a supposedly large following.
The closed group, as mentioned here, has nothing to hide. It is just an attempt to be fair to folks. They join because they want to, not because some over zealous group administrator has added them unknowingly to the group. And since it is a closed group, those who have not joined cannot see all the postings within the group.
So nothing to get upset over. Nothing to hide. It is following rules that many do not even know about.
