f250 6.2 and 327re good match or to much camper?

I always will wonder just what is the real reason for the two different tow ratings for the 3.73 and 4.3 diffy.

I am thinking that it is just a CYA warranty thing, since maybe Ford thinks that people will just drop it in drive and push on the go pedal.

I think the 3.73 geared trucks would be right at the same as the 4.30 if dropped down one gear.

My understand that the top two gears are over driven in that tyranny also. :h

Anyway my 6.2 yanks my 10K fifth wheel through the Smokies just fine for me.
