I don't pull a fiver but a small 25' toy hauler TT. My trailer empty was 6,700lbs had 1,100 tongue weight. CCC is about 4,000. So total loaded weight is about what yours will be empty. I have a 2016 XLT 250 Fx4 6.2 373 rear. I use the manual shift with tow haul and it does pretty good staying in 5 th gear. It will not hold speed on flat road in 6th. Small Georgia mountains can get me into 3rd mostly and have been into 2nd a time or two. You will have to turn the RPM's to maintain speed on many hills.
