faded cap

Been there done that with a 2011 gray Big Country. The caps faded from lack of UV protectant in the gel coat (per Heartland). No product seemed to help. Painting was the only fix!

I used 3M Marine Cleaner and Wax on the cap of my grey Montana High Country...

It with a power buffer restored the shine immensely...

I have read this stuff really works...I will be ordering some in the spring for the same problem.

I had mine clear coated.

Rubbing compound, and a lot of work, often.

Depending on the finish and whether it's Jel-coat, it may need to be painted.
That's what I did several years ago. My finish had started fading by the second year so it was repainted with an epoxy based paint. It looks better than ever!
If you go this route it pays to shop around. Mine is just white and I got quotes from $1400 to $800.

Polishing compound followed by a good wax job.
