Farm Bureau Insurance

Does anyone use Farm Bureau insurance and road service for their 5th wheel and tow vehicle?
  • We had Farm Bureau in Virginia for 25+ years Home & Auto but left them after their rates got so high with Erie now. Better Coverage less $.........

Only problem with Farm Bureau had to get an arbitrator for an RV Awning claim several years ago they wanted to say it was old & pay $200 after the arbitrator looked at the damaged awning we got $700.
  • Thanks for the replies. I could not beat their rates. Hugh difference from Allstate.
  • I have Farm Bureau Ins.And have for twenty or more years. They have always taken care of me.They are paying a claim now on my Montana 3580re,damaged by a Goodyear st tire failure the fifth of October. I trust them.
  • Actually went from Progressive to Farm Bureau about 5 years ago...have my home, 5er and both vehicles insured with them...Great pricing for NC, beat everyone else I checked on and gave better coverage, but I also have Coach Net for my ERS....

Haven't had any need to use Farm Bureau yet, but I do shop around for best pricing and they are very competitive....
  • My husband has been with Farm Bureau since he bought his first car at 16 years old. 80+ cars/toys and 37 years later, we're still with them. We currently have our house covered and 15 other vehicle policies. They were easy on us when our boys became teenage drivers. I joke that we are single-handedly keeping them in business.

Yeah, it's a big monthly bill, but still comparable to other companies. We stay put because of the customer service.
  • FB treated me very well last year on two vehicles that were damaged by mother nature to the tune of 17k+. I don't have thier road service. They were considerably less expensive than State Farm Or Farmers Group.

I've had FB for decades and have my truck and FW with them. Because of certain other requirements, I pay more for the RV, but overall, it costs me less. My biggest issue is trying to find someone that will cover my JD Model A, since I do like to drive it around my neighborhood and occasionally get asked to do parade duty.

  • I have Farm Bureau for my house and ATVs, but when I priced it for my cars and FW, the price was about 25% higher than Hartford, even with the discount for bundling the house. We haven't used Farm Bureau for any problems so I can't tell you how they do. As for Hartford, we are on our second claim with them and so far, they have handled them to our satisfaction and promptly.
