Get the hitch installed correctly. You're gonna need all the cushion you can get towing a FW with a 1/2 ton truck. Not sure what FW you have now but the max payload I can find on the Ford website for the supercab, ecoboost, and 3.73 rear end is 2,000#. Now subtract 200# for the hitch and just guess at another 300# for passengers and gear in the truck only leaves you with 1,500# for pin wieght. That equates to about a 7,500# GVWR FW, pretty small is your maximum capability with a FW
