IIRC my front axle rating is 5200 lbs. All loaded up setting on a platform with butts in the seats it scales 4820. I do have 380 lbs of wiggle room. Whole lot more wiggle room on the drive axle :W

My pin weight is 3000+ pounds. So 20% would be 600 pounds additional on the front axle. And that would mean I have 2400 pounds over the rear axle. Then I could carry all that weight with a F150 tow max/1500HD.

Who said there is no such thing as too much truck.

The hitch manufactures know that ~16-20% of the pin weight should be on your front axle and to do that the hitch needs to be in front of your rear axle.

After reading all the posts I'm also wondering how he knows it is 4 inches back. Where did he take the measurement from. It's not the center of the bed from fore to aft. Where did you measure?????
